Born in Manchester, Connecticut USA to Jean Isabel Flynn, née Robinson, and Lieutenant Colonel  William Francis Flynn

Graduated from Annandale High School, Annandale, Virginia USA, Elective courses in painting, art  history and theory.

1970 – 1975

Attended Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia USA, Major in Painting, additional  courses in lithography, sculpture, weaving and performance
